More than 11,000 people remain hospitalized this Saturday, 110 less than Friday. The incidence rate drops below 2

The epidemic peak has passed.

Raised to almost 250 nationally, the number of cases per 100,000 inhabitants (incidence rate) fell below 200 after eleven consecutive days of decline, according to figures released on Saturday.

This respite, which we do not know if it will be sustainable, finally seems to be reflected in the hospital: the number of patients in French hospitals are down, according to figures from Public Health France.

This Saturday, 11,052 people are hospitalized due to Covid-19.

This is 110 less than Friday (11,162) and 301 more than a week ago (10,463).

The number of new hospitalizations recorded each day (which does not take into account returns home) remains high: 465 in the last 24 hours, against 908 over the same period on Friday and 805 last Saturday.

In critical care departments (continuous monitoring, intensive care and resuscitation), 2,259 patients are hospitalized due to coronavirus infection.

There were 2,270 on Friday and 2,106 last Saturday.

119 new patients have been admitted there in the last 24 hours, against 194 Friday and 165 last Saturday, over the same period.

Since the start of the epidemic, there have been 87,512 deaths in France in hospitals due to Covid-19. In the past 24 hours, 75 deaths have been recorded, against 95 on Friday and 146 last Saturday.
