The manufacturer points out that products with different expiry dates are flawless.
Since the expiry date of the affected batch has already passed, the item has not been on the market for a week.
The warning is issued by the manufacturer and the Federal Office as a precaution.
If there are individual consumers who still store the goods in the refrigerator, they should not be consumed under any circumstances.
Recall: Risk of Listeria disease when consuming the affected item
The manufacturer Krone GmbH announced that Listeria monocytogenes was detected in a single sample.
The analysis result was only now available, which is why the warning was published after the expiry date.
Listeria disease can cause nausea, fever and diarrhea.
Symptoms usually appear within 14 days of consumption.
In immunocompromised people, the elderly or children, severe courses of the disease with meningitis or blood poisoning are possible.
If pregnant women get a Listeria infection, the unborn children can be harmed, according to the Federal Office for Consumer Protection.
