(ANSA) - NEW YORK, AUG 28 - Some areas of the Louisiana coast could be "uninhabitable for weeks or months" due to Hurricane Ida, which should hit the state on Sunday as category 4. This is the alarm launched by the National Weather Service, the government agency for weather forecasting.
The hurricane poses a "dramatic threat" to the population of New Orleans.
