If the general trend is downward, the figures for hospitalizations and admissions to critical care are experiencing a slight rebound,

While the health pass became mandatory on Monday for many professions such as hotels and restaurants or in places open to the public, hospital pressure is slightly on the rise in France.

This Monday, 11,245 patients are hospitalized due to Covid-19 against 11,092 the day before.

That is 83 more patients than last Friday, when 11,162 people were in hospital.

The number of new hospitalizations recorded each day (which does not take into account returns home) has risen to 725 in the past 24 hours, against 908 last Friday.

On the intensive care side, 2,290 patients are hospitalized due to a coronavirus infection.

There were 2,276 the day before and 2,259 on Saturday.

159 new patients have been admitted there in the past 24 hours, against 71 on Sunday.

98 deaths in 24 hours, 45 more than the day before

Figures that should not mask a general downward trend, especially on the side of contaminations.

The incidence rate, in particular for all ages combined in France, fell for the 13th consecutive day, by -16.8% compared to last week.

While a new study still being published suggests that the number of deaths avoided in France thanks to the vaccine would amount to 50,000 people, Covid-19 continues to kill in France. This Monday, there are 98 deaths against 53 the day before. In all, since the start of the epidemic, there have been 87,663 deaths in France in hospitals due to Covid-19.
