Two hundred thousand pesos
is the unusual fine that a young man from Cordoba found in his email for an
alleged violation of isolation
while waiting to be treated at a hospital to which an ambulance had taken him, since they were following him for having contracted
the Delta variant
of the coronavirus.
The affected person is
a relative of the zero case
of this mutation of the virus in Córdoba.
He was infected with almost his entire family.
With his sister, who ended up dying last Monday, they went to Rawson Hospital on August 6.
Since that day, she remained hospitalized and "never came out again", while he spent the first part of the isolation at home until he
was taken to a hotel
on the recommendation of the Ministry of Health to prevent the spread of the virus.
According to the young man himself to local media, he had
periodic transfers
to the hospital for controls.
"On the 13th they took me for the last time. I was only going to a control. They
made me wait outside the hospital
and there they made me get back into the ambulance but they gave me a fine," he explained indignantly to
ElDoce TV
.
He said that, just the day before, he
had tested negative in a PCR
that was carried out at the hotel.
However, it was of little use.
The young man showed the email he received with the fine.

The surprise took her when the hospital receptionist took the data from him before attending and
made him wait outside the medical center
.
At that moment, a police officer confused the situation and fined him for violating the isolation.
As he explained, the sanction was carried out by the cash that
at no time "spoke to me or asked me anything
.
"
And he added: "I think it was because I got out of the ambulance with all the protocol and he assumed I had covid."
Last week, Javier learned by email that he had a fine amounting to 200 thousand pesos,
60 thousand with voluntary payment
.
The minutes are dated August 13 at four ten in the afternoon.
That is why he is certain that it was applied when he was waiting to enter Rawson.
In addition, the young man reported that he went through similar waiting situations the three previous times he had to visit the hospital.
"The first time I was in case of contagion they made me wait at the entrance for about four hours. Sometimes I was five hours without drinking water or eating anything," he claimed.
Last Wednesday, the Government of Córdoba notified a new case of the Delta variant of coronavirus, which raised to 61 infections with that strain with the highest transmissibility in the province.
According to official information, the new case corresponded to a person who returned from the United States.
So far,
two people have died as a result of this variant
: one was "case zero", a traveler who arrived from Peru and failed to comply with the isolation, and the other a 38-year-old woman from the same epidemiological link.
In none of the cases were they not vaccinated.
