With the podium of the twenty-year-old Lombard, on his debut at the Paralympic Games, Italy reaches 40 on the overall medal table, surpassing the spoils of Rio 2016 (39).
Xenia Palazzo won bronze in the women's 400m freestyle swimming category S8 (physical impairments) at the Tokyo Paralympics.
It is the third medal of the 23-year-old from Verona at these Games, after silver in the 200 medley and gold in the 4X100 freestyle relay.
For Italy it is the 41st podium.
