For the dough
:
250 g wheat flour
1 packet of dry yeast
0.5 tsp salt
140 ml of water
2 tbsp sunflower oil

:
1 large onion
70 g bacon
200 g crème fraîche
salt
pepper
nutmeg

Recipe for tarte flambée Alsatian style: the preparation
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees top and bottom heat.
Mix together wheat flour and dry yeast.
Mix salt and sunflower oil with water.
Pour the water mixture into the flour mixture and knead everything into a dough.
Let the dough rise covered for about an hour.
Roll out the dough several times until it is really thin.
Then place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Cut the onions and bacon into small pieces.
Mix the creme fraîche with salt, pepper and nutmeg.
Brush the dough with the creme fraîche mixture.
Spread onions and bacon on top.
Put the tarte flambée in the oven and let it bake on the lowest rack for 15 to 20 minutes until it is crispy.
