It was only at the airport in Honolulu that inspectors noticed errors in the vaccination certificate

A 24-year-old woman from the US state of Illinois had submitted a fake Covid-19 vaccination card for a trip to Hawaii, which contained a blatant spelling error: According to court documents, the vaccine was "Maderna" instead of "Moderna".
The woman has now been charged for violating Hawaiian emergency regulations to combat the spread of the coronavirus.
She was in custody until a judge released her after a hearing on Tuesday and scheduled another hearing in three weeks.
To bypass the ten-day quarantine for travelers to Hawaii, the woman uploaded a vaccination card to the state's Safe Travels program and arrived in Honolulu on August 23 on a Southwest Airlines flight, the documents said.
The inspectors at the airport came across suspicious errors.
So it wasn't just Moderna that was misspelled.
According to ID, the 24-year-old should also have been vaccinated in Delaware, but her residence is in Illinois.
This was announced by Wilson Lau, a special agent in the investigative department of the Hawaii Attorney General.
A Delaware official confirmed that there was no vaccination certificate for the woman with her name and date of birth.
State public defender James Tabe declined to comment on her case.
It is unclear whether the woman will take her own lawyer or apply for a public defender.
