"

We are emerging from the pandemic with economies having been stabilized" and recovering.

This was stated by ECB President Christine Lagarde in an interview with Time released by the central bank, "When we look at the levels of unemployment in advanced economies, the pandemic has not left much damage. And if we look at the level of GDP, we will return to that before the pandemic at the end of the year ". Go ahead with vaccinations "for the whole world" and enough "with massive support" but more targeted aid to "those sectors that have been hit hard". This is what ECB President Christine and Lagarde hopes in an interview with Time that now governments and political authorities "must be more surgical".

Bundesbank President

 Jan Weidmann

stresses that the ECB "should not overlook the risks of rapidly growing inflation" even if "accommodative monetary policy remains appropriate" at this stage. Weidmann's words in the aftermath of the data on the jump in prices in Europe and Germany and a week before the meeting of the board of the central institute, on 9 September. "We have to watch the risks" on prices, he added. "In my opinion, upside risks are predominant."
