Bean stew in red sauce with rice (Photo: Walla !, Ayala Jenny)
When my kids were little it was one of their favorite foods - a comforting and delicious stew of tender beans in a thick red tomato sauce.
From small to large, everyone goes crazy over it, probably when it comes over white rice that absorbs all the sauce.
Although in most homes it is customary to prepare the dish with white beans, I like to use the little red beans, it is better than me in this dish, but you can use any bean you choose.

Recommendation for busy parents:
Prepare a double amount.
The bean stew is easily kept in the refrigerator for 3-4 days and can be frozen.
Unlike many foods that are damaged by heating, it actually improves and there is no problem heating it, even in the microwave.
Prepare a dish for the children with rice and the stew on top, and they only have to warm up.

Please note - do not add salt at this stage because it inhibits the softening.

Cook covered over a low flame for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Season with salt, paprika, sugar and pepper.
