Fans expect quite a few improvements this year.
The developers focused on one aspect in particular.
Publisher 2K recently released the new gameplay trailer for "NBA 2K22" *.
However, this is only a compilation and not live gameplay.
Differences to the predecessor cannot really be seen with the naked eye.
Fans of the series usually only notice the differences when they play the game themselves.
And as publisher 2K has now revealed, players can expect numerous gameplay innovations this year - one detail stands out in particular.
"NBA 2K22": The most important changes to the gameplay
Last year, the biggest innovation in the predecessor "NBA 2K21" was aiming with the throwing stick. In “NBA 2K22”, the developers of Visual Concepts concentrated primarily on
improving the defense
. The system for defending has been completely redesigned, including the
blocking a shot and the
ball acceptance
,
if the opponent is dribbling the ball
. So-called “ghost contests”, about which many players have complained, are also said to be a thing of the past. This resulted in simple lay-ups going wrong even though no defender was in close proximity. In addition, the defense of the computer controlled players has been improved. With

"NBA 2K22" will be released on September 10th
for PC, Nintendo Switch, PS4 and Xbox One as well as for the next-gen consoles PS5 and Xbox Series X / S.
