Suppletive: Rizzo candidate for Communist Party in Siena

(ANSA) - SIENA, 01 SEPT - The general secretary of the Communist Party Marco Rizzo will be a candidate in the supplementary elections for the Chamber of Deputies in the Toscana 12 college of Siena and Arezzo.

Thus, in a note, the Sienese provincial secretary of the party Nicola Bettollini, made official the candidacy of Rizzo which will be presented on Friday 3 September at Palazzo Patrizia Siena during a press conference.

    With the candidacy of Rizzo, there are three candidates to fill the seat vacated by Pier Carlo Padoan, who resigned to take the presidency of Unicredit. The Democratic Party has nominated the secretary Enrico Letta while the center-right has focused on the wine entrepreneur Tommaso Marzi Marzi. In recent days, however, Carlo Calenda has instead made it known that Siena Action will not present any candidates. (HANDLE).
