Eddie Murphy
, 60, made a remarkable comeback this year. Some time ago the star had often shown little success in choosing his roles and had several flops, but his last film "Coming 2 America" caused record numbers on the Amazon streaming service in March. Since then, Murphy, who was one of the most successful actors in Hollywood in the 1980s and 1990s and was the only African-American superstar at the time, has been courted again by film studios and streaming services. According to the industry magazine "Hollywood Reporter" Murphy has just signed a deal with Netflix for a new comedy, and he is to play the triplet brother of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito in "Triplets". The greatest expectations, however, are directed towards the continuation of the filmthrough which he became famous: "Beverly Hills Cop 4". The policeman Alex Foley, who stirs up the world of the rich and beautiful, fights his opponents less with gun violence than with his gun nose, became Murphy's most popular figure. It had long been speculated about another part of the extremely successful series, but just a few months ago Murphy had made his participation in the project dependent on the quality of the script. Since the first film that hit theaters in 1984, not only Hollywood has changed a lot. The "Black Live Matters" movement has sparked a new debate about racism - a topic that previous Beverly Hills Cop films have mostly treated in a comedic manner. What role it will play in the new film, which will also be produced by Netflix, is not yet known.A number of top authors are working on the story, which is kept like a secret.
