Unemployment in July drops to 9.3%, for young people to 27.7%

Istat indicates it.

"Despite a moderate decline in the number of employees and a stability in the employment rate - he comments - the strong growth recorded in the previous five months has resulted in a balance of 550 thousand more employees compared to January 2021".

However, since pre-Covid i it is more than 260,000 units lower.

The unemployment rate in July dropped to 9.3% (-0.1 points compared to June) and among young people to 27.7% (-1.6 points). Istat communicates this, by disseminating the provisional monthly data on employed and unemployed people. The decrease in the number of people looking for work is equal to -29 thousand units (-1.2%) compared to June and is concentrated mainly among men and young people aged 15-24.
