2021-09-02T07:57:46.450Z

A poll released this Thursday shows 57% of those polled are still concerned about the coranavirus, one of the lowest levels in the world.

Even if 11,119 people are still hospitalized in France, the concern of the French about the spread of the epidemic tends to decrease even if it still remains the majority.

According to an Elabe poll for BFMTV, 57% of those polled say they are still worried.

However, that figure is down 10 points from August 20.

According to this survey, this level of concern is at one of the lowest levels recorded since the start of the health crisis.

It is similar to that reached after the 1st confinement in June 2020, at 56%.

Concern is declining in all categories of the population, and particularly strongly among those 65 and over (59%, -20), executives (50%, -24), intermediate professions (55%, -14) , and in men (52%, -13 against 60%, -8 in women).

The level of vaccination, the health pass and the maintenance of barrier gestures have a reassuring effect.

Yesterday, Jean Castex estimated that France was "on the right path" to find a normal life.

A majority of parents do not fear going back to school

In addition, on this new school year, a majority of parents (56%) are not worried about letting their children go to nursery or school.

The situation was reversed compared to the start of the 2020 school year when the concern was the majority (60%).

In another register, the people questioned adhere to the idea of compulsory vaccination for caregivers (78%), police officers (75%), teachers (74%).

More than two in three French people (67%) are even in favor of compulsory vaccination for the general public, adults and adolescents.

Survey conducted on August 31 and September 1 by Internet with a sample of 1,000 people using the quota method.
