Covid-19 in France: 104 deaths in 24 hours, nearly 11,000 hospitalized patients

According to the latest data from Public Health France, 10,934 patients were hospitalized due to Covid-19 against 11,119 the day before (i.e. 185 fewer patients) and 11,171 a week earlier.

In 24 hours, 648 new hospitalizations were recorded in France (a figure that does not take into account returns home) while there were 742 yesterday.

The peak of 1,145 admissions was reached at the end of August, Tuesday 24.

On the intensive care side, 2,275 patients were admitted there due to a serious coronavirus infection.

There were 2,294 the day before and 2,261 last Thursday.

143 new patients have been admitted there in the past 24 hours, against 187 on Wednesday.

Santé Publique France has also recorded 104 deaths linked to Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, bringing the total of deaths in France to 114,683 since the start of the epidemic.

As for vaccination, its rate continues to slow down while, since Tuesday, less than 10 million people eligible for vaccination have not received any injection.
