District court in Halle an der Saale: Ten years imprisonment

In a trial in the case of a killed small child from Naumburg in Saxony-Anhalt, the defendant was sentenced to ten years in prison.
The chamber at the regional court in Halle an der Saale saw it as proven that the 27-year-old was guilty of serious sexual abuse and bodily harm resulting in death.
The convict denies the act
The defendant allegedly sexually abused the one-year-old son of his then partner in the summer of 2016 and inflicted serious internal injuries on his stomach.
The exact sequence of events remained unclear even after the evidence was taken.

The broadcaster MDR reported that the man kneeled on the boy's stomach and caused him the serious injuries.
In further investigations, evidence of sexual abuse of the child was found.
A few days after the attacks, the child died in hospital.
