The 2021 heritage days program
The 2021 Heritage Days program has been published continuously since the beginning of the summer. More than 20,000 visits are already offered throughout France, and certain places thus offer their mode of access: with or without reservation. This is for example the case for the guided tours offered by Maison Mumm in Reims if you want to discover their cellars, but also for the visits to RATP construction sites in Paris, or to access the Elysée Palace from 2 years now (thus avoiding queuing up to 4 hours!).
Visit of the Jaunay drinking water plant (85), a former postal sorting center transformed into a datacenter in Saint-Ouen-l'Aumône (95), participate in escape games, attend concerts, plays ... there is something for all tastes and all ages!
The theme of the 38th edition of Heritage Days gives pride of place to the train and rail in general "Heritage for all, railway heritage".
You will be able to visit many technicentres, behind the scenes of stations, to attend demonstrations, or to benefit from journeys in historic trains ...
Organization and reservations
Each place defines its reservation policy: the RATP opens its reservations from September 7, the SNCF (which will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the TGV) has opened its own since September 1, in many other places reservations are made by phone or email, but visits may already be displayed as complete! Search in the program according to your tastes and with the criterion "on reservation" and note the reservation conditions. For places in high demand such as the Elysée Palace or the Hôtel de Matignon (prime minister), reservations are often open at the last moment: you have to be on the lookout!
Covid-19 obliges ... the novelty this year for the Heritage Days will also be the requirement or not of the health pass to access the places according to the reception conditions (open air or not, visitor level greater than 50 people. ..)
