New video by Rezo: "I don't know where such unrealistic politics come from"

Conspiracy myths, closeness to energy companies, skepticism about science: In the new video, Rezo takes on politicians whom he sees particularly critical of the climate crisis. The focus is on the federal government - and above all the CDU.

Even after "Destruction Part 1" it was clear that at least Part 2 would still come and now it is here.

Video blogger Rezo has continued the series of his indictment videos.

After “incompetence” in part 1, the title already shows what part 2 will be about - the “climate catastrophe”.

"We will see in this video that the current government not only fails in its own goals, but also passes unconstitutional laws and even actively prevents progress," Rezo summarizes one of his main theses right at the beginning of the video.

He will target all parties, he says, but, as in the videos that have already been published, his criticism is primarily directed against the CDU / CSU.

In the meanwhile well-known Rezo manner, the blogger designs his video: faded in images, underlaid sounds, recorded video sequences, quick cuts.

Rezo puts the basic problem right at the beginning: "The climate crisis is already at the start and it is already at the start here".

His first point of criticism: politicians who would deliberately oppose scientific findings: “If you then deny these reliable findings, then you are not a skeptic or questioner, then you are on the same level as other aluminum hat wearers who think that Bill Gates is little Children eats «.

He names the AFD, shows a tweet from Nicola Beer (FDP) and then devotes himself to the CDU, which would also allow new candidates to run for the upcoming federal election who spread “anti-science opinions”.

Coal companies received special treatment

His next point of criticism: the entanglements between politicians and the energy company RWE. It is problematic that too many politicians are "very, very close to rich companies that have a great financial interest in helping us fight the climate crisis less". Such close ties to companies are particularly pronounced among politicians of the Union parties. The coal companies have always received special financial treatment, which was once again clearly recognizable with the far too high compensation for the coal phase-out.

In the ranks of the Union, especially Armin Laschet, candidate for chancellor and prime minister of North Rhine-Westphalia, is drawing the outrage of Rezo.

With regard to the clearance of the Hambach Forest, he quotes from a leaked video.

Laschet admitted that he was looking for an excuse to have the forest cleared.

North Rhine-Westphalia in particular is lagging behind in terms of climate protection. To illustrate this, Rezo takes up the new coal-fired power plant Datteln IV or the declining expansion of wind power.

Grand coalition would actively prevent progress

All over Germany, jobs for renewable energies have been cut. The blogger's comment on this is aimed directly at the grand coalition: "You have managed to make a situation that was already not good many times worse." The SPD and CDU not only attracted attention because they failed in progress and their own goals, they would even actively prevent this progress. Overall, the incumbent federal government seems to leave the YouTuber at a loss: "I don't know where such unrealistic politics come from."

The decisive factor for the upcoming development is now the federal election: "If the next federal government does not take the issue as seriously for a few more years and continues to do what the CDU and SPD have done so far, then we can no longer do it." Therefore appeals Rezo at the end of his second video to the electorate and especially the large electoral group: »You decide the future of the younger generation«.

Another final video is to follow.
