You'll have to believe us when we say it's not an easy job, not an easy one at all.
To experience all the new products that come out of the Israeli market (and sometimes even outside it), to taste before everyone else, deliveries and other deliveries, paper bags that accumulate in the office (and at home), a constant feeling of satiety.
Seriously, it's harder than it looks, and no one pays you for the gym, or compensates you for the rapidly evolving sense of FOMO in the mind.

Cocktail in a box, make drinks
Cocktails in a box of Bana drinks (Photo: Bana drinks)
The Israeli alcohol chain is preparing for the holiday (and its trips and parties and why not) with to-go cocktail boxes.
These are two gin-based cocktails - one with mango and the other with blackberries - that come in a portable carton with a removable pouring handle, containing a liter and a half of mixed drink.
The concept is simple - ice and pour - but we came skeptical, already experienced from a lot of mixed promises that did not come close to the real thing.
Here, on the other hand, it is a resourceful abrasion that will solve quite a few problems in mobility, hassle and headache.
The drink is good (we tried the dark bramble version), with a respectable 11.5% alcohol, and the business works, both technically and mixologically.
In four words: a portable bar, for real.
Freeze cocktail, 24 ICE
Freeze cocktail of 24 ICE (Photo: 24 ICE)
Stay in the exact same world, in a different approach: ICE 24 is a cocktail in the shape of a lock waiting for the freezer and this moment in the evening in front of the TV where something comes to you.
The Dutch product is imported to Israel by Food Leader, flavored with gin and tonic, limoncello, mojito, energy vodka and strawberry stabs.
It contains 5% sympathetic alcohol (although you can always strive for more), freezes nicely and has a reasonable price tag (six shekels per unit, 27 shekels for a package of five cocktails).
As for the taste, the vodka-energy was too artificial and the stabi a little too sweet, but the limoncello was pleasant, the mojito even more than that and the gin-tonic provided a frozen and refreshing alternative.
In three words: a summer stick.
French fries, Milotel
Milotel's chips (Photo: Milotel)
Milotel is expanding its restaurant business and launching a series of chips packages for home use.
The series includes classic French fries in two sizes (800 grams and 1.5 kg), zig-zag fries, diced French fries, sliced French fries, American French fries (thinner sticks) and steak French fries.
The products tested - classic oven-baked French fries, deep-fried zig-zag and diced potatoes with sauce - were all characterized by good potato quality, ideal ease of use and excellent taste. An experience compared to what is accepted in the genre. In
four words: Good chips are life.
Spelled challah, Steinbach's mouth
Spelled challah from Pat Steinbach Bakery (Photo: Menachem Greivsky)
The Haifa boutique bakery has launched a new weekend challah (sold on Thursday and Friday), made from 100% white spelled flour.
The vegan challah also includes tahini, olive oil, Atlantic sea salt and sugar, without artificial and industrial ingredients.
She was great on the first performance, and kept herself great the next morning as well, with noticeable differences compared to "regular" wheat flour, but not ones that would bother us to pounce on her again.
In four words: a piece of bread, and a little more.
Seelan pastrami and pepper pastrami, Zoglowek

And something to put in the challah: The Israeli meat giant is launching two new delicacies.
These are peppered cilantro pastrami (cilantro-flavored turkey pastrami and black pepper coating) and pepper pastrami mix (turkey pastrami with a spicy pepper mixture coating in the form of green hemp, red pepper and ground black pepper).
The two low-fat pastrami tasted like AS IS and inside a sandwich, the other provided a small but not too aggressive castor, while the silane gave a more butt, in the form of a slightly ticklish shell, that sat better between two slices of bread.
In two words: justified gibberish.
Varvello vinegar, a rainbow of flavors

The Israeli supermarket chain is expanding its Italian collaboration with "Gold Line", Varvello's vinegar series from Turin.
The series includes four products - balsamic vinegar from Modena, white wine vinegar, red wine vinegar and also apple cider vinegar.
We tried the former as a seasoning for a fresh summer set, and the latter as part of a chicken marinade, and in both cases we got good aromas and balanced acidity.
In two words: experts in their expertise.
Strawberry and banana smoothie syrup, Prigat
Syrup for making a strawberry and banana flavored smoothie by Prigat (Photo: Prigat)
The Israeli juice brand is riding on the summer with a double launch of a new syrup.
These are banana-flavored syrups and strawberry-flavored syrups designed to make a smoothie by mixing with milk or milk substitutes.
The products are marketed in 750 ml bottles that should be enough for 37 glasses. They are enriched with vitamin D and provide a drink that will indeed satisfy children, although attention is required here regarding the quantities and sugar. In
three words: a cute homemade smoothie.
Orange lentil cracker, FREE
FREE orange lentil cracker (Photo: FREE)
The health snack brand is launching a new flavor to its mini series - orange lentil crackers.
The crackers are made from only three ingredients (orange lentil flour, rice flour and salt) and provide a neutral flavor that cooperates nicely with most dips and spreads.
The crispiness is good, the durability is good and by and large it is a worthy spot substitute for a bread sandwich.
In three words: not just a snack.
