Back to school did not cause an epidemic peak. Hospitalization figures continue to decline this Sunday with 10 pat

"We have a 4th wave which is evolving favorably, with a drop in new cases of 20% over a week," said Jérôme Salomon on the set of BFMTV, this Sunday noon.

If the words of the Director General of Health are reassuring, so are the figures.

The back-to-school week, however risky, has apparently not led to an epidemic rebound for the moment.

After falling below 11,000 patients in hospital for a Covid-19 infection this week, the decline is confirmed with 10,644 people treated, against 10,654 yesterday and 10,816 before the weekend.

Six fewer "Covid beds"

On the intensive care side, 2,217 patients were admitted there due to a serious Covid infection.

There were 2,223 the day before, or six Covid beds less in the territory.

Even if 60 new patients were admitted there because of the evolution of their symptoms.
