2021 will be remembered as the black year for Italian fruit and vegetables affected by the effects of the weather and climate change. A dramatic situation that affects producers and consumers that will be at the center of Macfrut in Rimini, the largest exhibition of Made in Italy fruit and vegetables, starting tomorrow and until 9 September at Rimini Fiera.
The Minister of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies, Stefano Patuanelli, will participate in the inaugural day, in the presence of the Deputy Director General Fao Maurizio Martina, the President of the Emilia-Romagna Region Stefano Bonaccini, the President of the Ice-Agency Carlo Ferro, the MEP Paolo De Castro , and the Presidents Lorenzo Cagnoni of IEG and Renzo Piraccini of Macfrut and Fieravicola.
On the occasion of the inauguration of the exhibition, the president of Coldiretti Ettore Prandini will also be present. The analysis on "2021, the black year of Made in Italy fruit" will be disseminated with the impact on businesses and household spending but also with the strategies to save a crucial sector for the economy, health and environment.
The new financial instrument Ismea Investe will also be presented at Macfrut, intended to support development projects of the entire agri-food chain: from agricultural production to industrial transformation to distribution and logistics.
