A suspected drug dealer in Waldbröl, North Rhine-Westphalia, apparently accidentally called the police several times on Friday night - while he was sleeping.

Only the snoring and moaning of the 23-year-old could be heard.

Several calls from the man were received in the associated rescue control center.

Apart from these noises, nothing could be heard, the police wrote in a press release on Monday.

"Concerned about the physical condition of the caller," the police continued, the man's apartment was then visited.

He didn't want to believe what he'd done

Probably rudely torn from his dreams, the man did not want to believe that he had dialed the emergency number himself.

However, when he looked at his call list, he could see that he had actually called himself.

According to the police, the officers noticed a strong smell of cannabis as soon as they entered the apartment.

In the apartment, "a not inconsiderable amount of marijuana, numerous ecstasy tablets and various other drugs (amphetamines and cocaine), fine scales and cash" were found.

The man was interrogated with another 21-year-old who was also in the apartment, then they were released.

Now the two are expecting criminal proceedings, the police said.
