(ANSA) - ROME, 06 SEP - "Duty and necessary to tell this story again to my generation. It was emotionally strong to work through all this as a person and as an actress. I hope to have given Donatella a little more justice": these are the words of Benedetta Porcaroli who in Stefano Mordini's Catholic School, Out of Competition in Venice 78 and from 7 October in a show with Warner Bros, plays Donatella Colasanti, who survived the Circeo massacre by pretending to be dead after unprecedented violence between 29 and 30 September 1975.

"Even today we hear when there are facts of rape how she was dressed, if she was drunk, the sentences are often rich in sexist stereotypes, it is denounced more in recent years but it is still difficult to be believed. Unfortunately, after 46 years the violence of Circeo is a past that is still current "added Federica Torchetti who plays Rosaria Lopez, who did not survive the violence and died.

The film, based on the book "The Catholic School" by EdoardoAlbinati (Rizzoli, Premio Strega 2016) is interpreted by Valeria Golino, Riccardo Scamarcio, Jasmine Trinca, GiulioPranno, Fausto Russo Alesi, Fabrizio Gifuni, Valentina Cervi, together with a new, promising, generation of young actors: Emanuele Maria Di Stefano, Giulio Fochetti, Leonardo Ragazzini, Alessandro Cantalini, Andrea Lintozzi, Guido Quaglione, LucaVergoni, Francesco Cavallo, Angelica Elli, Beatrice Spata and Giulio Tropea.
