(ANSA) - BEIJING, 07 SEPT - China "appreciates Italy's active promotion of global cooperation in public health and economic cooperation", as the shifting president of the G20 and assures its support for the success of the Rome October Summit: the global fight against Covid-19 and the recovery of the world economy are "in a critical phase". President Xi Jinping, in today's telephone conversation with Prime Minister Mario Draghi, said that "as the main platform for international economic cooperation, the G20 should adhere to true multilateralism and promote the spirit of solidarity and cooperation against the pandemic".
Xi called for closer work to tackle common challenges together such as restoring theglobal economy and development that is inclusive and sustainable (ANSA).
