(ANSA) - ROME, SEPTEMBER 07 - From what is learned from diplomatic sources, not even Italy will participate in the next World Conference Against Racism in Durban which will take place in September in New York, in line with other Western countries.
In recent months, controversy arose over the fact that the new Unesco intergovernmental conference risks turning into a new anti-Semitic and anti-Israeli conference. At the 2001 conference in South Africa, Israel was described as a "racist and apartheid state". (HANDLE).
