(ANSA) - VATICAN CITY, SEPTEMBER 07 - For the first time, the leader of the Roman Catholic Church, the Eastern Orthodox Church and the Anglican Communion have launched a joint appeal for environmental sustainability, its impact on poverty and the importance of global cooperation. Pope Francis, the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby exhort everyone to do their part in "choosing life" for the future of the planet. Christian leaders invite people to pray for world leaders ahead of the COP26 in November: "Whatever the faith or vision of the world, let us hear the cry of the earth".
