Three people died
and another five were injured this Tuesday in a multiple crash on
National Route 12
, near the Zárate-Brazo Largo complex, on the border between the provinces of Buenos Aires and Entre Ríos.
The accident occurred after 7 in the morning at kilometer 108 of the highway, near the Urquiza bridge, in the Zárate Brazo Largo complex.
Two trucks and two private cars
were involved in the incident
due to circumstances that are being clarified.
According to local media, a Volkswagen UP
lost control, crossed hands and hit
a Toyota Etios head-on.
Three people who were traveling in the first vehicle died while another was rescued by firefighters and taken to the Virgen del Carmen Zonal Hospital.
Meanwhile, another of the injured was driving the impacted car.

One of the trucks, which transports food substances and circulated behind the Etios, went towards the shoulder and ended up overturned in a ditch.
The other large vehicle was parked 300 meters away with a blow to its cabin.
After the alert of other motorists who were circulating in the area, Ceibas firefighters, highway safety personnel, and several ambulances went to the place, where the National Gendarmerie was already located.
Once there, they confirmed the death of three people and transferred
another five who resulted with injuries of varying degrees.
The area was cut off to carry out expert work and it was only around 8 o'clock that a lane was released from each hand.

The crash occurred in
adverse weather conditions
for traffic on the route and with a meteorological alert for storms in force for Entre Ríos and the north of Buenos Aires.
The National Meteorological Service renewed this Tuesday the yellow alert for storms that covers the entire province of Entre Ríos, Buenos Aires, a large part of Santa Fe, Río Negro, La Pampa and southern Córdoba.
In the case of Entre Ríos, "accumulated precipitation values between 40 and 60 millimeters are expected, which may be exceeded in a timely manner."
