Interviews with YouTubers and in "uncontracted" formats, TikTok accounts, references to rappers or cumbieros, specific spots and unusual jingles.

In an electoral framework with a high percentage of undecided, the vote of the almost

seven million young people between 16 and 24 - 20% of the electoral roll -

matters to the parties.

And a lot.

On the road to attracting this segment, the candidates were not spared from scoundrels, especially around issues such as the legalization of marijuana and sexuality.

The truth is that young people have starred in some of the most massive mobilizations of recent times and impose an agenda.

Clarín spoke with referents from different spaces to find out what they think, in the first person.

Delfina Ezeiza is 18 years old

and is a candidate for a Buenos Aires legislator in the

Avanza Libertad front

, for the

Libertarian Party

with Milei.

He says that he started in the military because he believes in the values of life, liberty and property.

His bedside bibliography is composed of Austrian economists, conservative libertarians, and the writer George Orwell.

A phrase that identifies her:

"If they keep telling the same lies, we have to keep repeating the truth."

In ideological antipodes,

Evelin hand (23) is defined as anticapitalist

.

He works in private homes, studies Law, and is active in the Youth

of the Socialist Workers Party

(headed by Nicolás del Caño and Myriam Bregman in the

Frente de Izquierda Unity

).

He claims that he entered political life because he could never naturalize inequality.

A book:

The Communist Manifesto

.

A phrase: "It is necessary to dream, but with the condition of believing in our dreams" (Lenin).

Germán Castelli studies the CBC of Political Sciences (UBA)

and has a clothing venture to bank his group,

"La Efervescente"

, which supports the

Frente de Todos.

"To be a militant is to find an idea that transcends you and leave your life there," he says.

Its unavoidable are the compilation of texts by Juan Domingo Perón,

Political Conduction

;

and

El Eternauta

, by Héctor Germán Oesterheld.

A phrase?

"The homeland is the other."

At the age of 22,

Micaela Beller studies Political Science and International Relations

at the National University of San Martín.

He is a member of the

PRO

and

Juntos.

He says that all his life he had a conviction to transform the country and generate more opportunities.

He likes books on philosophy, politics and Borges.

He is left with a phrase from his "Ode written in 1966": "No one is the homeland, but we all are."

Serafín Alberío

is 19 years old and a voice over student at ETER.

He considers it necessary for young people to get involved in politics and, although a few years ago he was linked to the PRO, today he

does not feel represented by any candidate or reference.

He defines himself as

"non-partisan"

, because he says that "anti-politics does not exist."

He wants to escape the

"crack"

that, he understands, is getting bigger every day.

He distrusts the accommodations and the candidates who become "those of the people."

What is the most urgent need of the youth?

Delfina (PL):

"To be able to

plan your life for the future and make it here, in Argentina.

Eight out of ten young people want to leave the country and it is due to the incompetence of our politicians, who decide to enlarge their pockets to the detriment of the population" .

Evelin (FITU):

"In my case, I have three trays to make ends meet. It is urgent to

reduce the working day

, the distribution of working hours between employed and unemployed and that no one charges less than the basic family basket, for all of us to work. "

Germán (FDT):

"The needs of the middle class are not the same as those of the lower class.

The first thing is the plate of food

, it is to get a decent job, it is to be able to study in decent conditions, to have access to basic services."

Micaela (PRO):

"There is not just one. If you are young, you realize that there are a lot: a better quality of

education

, many, many better

job opportunities

, to be able to project

ourselves

in the future here and around the world."

Serafín:

"Something very urgent is

ESI (Comprehensive Sex Education) classes

, because now I read a lot and know, but I left school very uninformed."

Is the rebellion from the right?

Delfina:

"The rebellion is liberal. Clearly

the status quo is on the left

, whether it is a lighter socialism such as Together for Change or a stronger socialism such as the Frente de Todos: both believe in collectivism, and in left issues , that is, in meddling in the private affairs of the individual ".

Evelin:

"Who thinks that a force that has deniers of the dictatorship on its list or that says that the climate crisis does not exist could be rebellious? Young Chileans demonstrated it:

the rebellion is from the left or it is not."

Germán:

"The rebellion cannot be from the right. To say that being a rebel is also against the State is also another stupid thing. The rebellion is from the left ... or from the

third position: Peronist, Kirchnerist

."

Micaela

: "It seems like something very

reductionist to me

."

Serafín:

"I don't think the left is the status quo. If the rebellion is liberal? 'You don't know, you don't think,' I'll leave it that way."

What do you think about your future work?

Would you consider leaving the country?

Delfina:

"I am currently finishing high school. Next year I am going to start my Bachelor's Degree in Economics. Personally, I cannot, nor do I want to leave the country. Although, as I said, I know that many young people think about it, because

here they do not find a future

" .

Evelin:

"The future that I think and desire is the one that I organize today. Young people in Argentina

lead the rates of unemployment, underemployment and precariousness

. The fight is here and it is now. For this reason, I repeat: reduction of the working day to six hours, without lowering the salary, with a minimum equal to the family basket and that no one is left without working. "

Germán:

"Today there is a very complicated situation to get a blank job and more with a decent salary to go live alone, which is what one begins to think at 18, 19, 20 years old. But

I don't want to leave of the country

, because there is a reality that one, as a militant, wants to change and from the outside it is impossible. "

Micaela:

"The youth unemployment rate doubles the adult unemployment rate in the country. Therefore, when we project in the long term,

uncertainty reigns

. I know that many young people decide to leave. But I think most of us want to stay , grow and work here. It hurts us to see how every day there are fewer opportunities to become independent and progress. We have to get involved to fight for all those who remain and so that those who leave can return. "

Serafín:

"I don't see much of a future here, neither for me nor for my family.

We are always with one foot on the cliff.

Abroad is the job opportunity. I thought about leaving and it's something I want to do when I finish my career, about all to Mexico, which is the place of dubbing and voice over par excellence. "

Are you a feminist?

Delfina:

"No, I do not believe in collectivism, they are abstract entities that put aside the personality of each one. Today, feminism incurs positive discrimination,

victimizes women and puts them in a place of subjugation

, where It cannot be defended without the protection of the State. "

Evelin:

"Yes, I am a

socialist feminist

. The right to abortion is not the end, but the beginning of the fight for our rights. We presented a draft of the Comprehensive Emergency Law against Gender Violence and the majority parties drafted it."

Evelin Cano, a member of the Socialist Workers Party in the Left Front Unity.

Germán:

"I am an activist for social justice, that's why I consider myself on the side of the people's struggles.

Today I am a feminist

."

Micaela:

"I am a feminist. And the next battle we have is to generate the same

real

job opportunities

and banish all the

micro-chaps

that persist in society."

Serafín:

"I don't consider myself a feminist, although I

fully support the movement.

It seems to me that this should be

the place of men

, although I have friends who do define themselves that way."

Light blue scarf or green scarf?

Delfina:

"

I don't identify with a handkerchief

. I would be more inclined to be

pro-life

, but I think that now doesn't matter for people's problems."

Evelin:

"The FITU is

the only 100% green list

, which does not carry any anti-rights dinosaur, nor does it defend extractivist policies."

Germán:

"I am in favor of the rights that men and women have conquered throughout history. The legalization of abortion transcends us, it

is a struggle that is taking place throughout the world

, but I understand that without a present State there would be been impossible. "

Micaela:

"I'm a

green scarf

."

Serafín:

"Before it

was light blue, but today I am a green scarf.

First, because it is not my decision, it is not my body ... I am also too young to bring someone into the world, with all the financial responsibilities that it implies and that now they are impossible for me to fulfill. "

Germán Castelli, a reference for the group "La Efervescente" and a member of the Frente de Todos.

A debate was armed with the phrase of Tolosa Paz, "in Peronism it was always garchó".

What generates you?

Delfina:

"It seems to me something he said to

attract the youth that they themselves locked up

."

Evelin: "She

wanted to play the lead.

Obviously we defend the pleasure of free fucking, but it is difficult because of the precariousness, because of the price of contraceptives, because of a Comprehensive Sex Education Law that does not apply. The phrase that must be supplemented with public policies ".

Germán:

"As Peronists, we always

vindicate the happiness and enjoyment

of the people. In Peronism it is garcha and in other spaces as well ... perhaps not as much as in Peronism."

Micaela:

"Young people are lacking job and educational opportunities. A candidate who is part of the ruling coalition, and who should take charge of transformations that generate more opportunities,

is reducing the young vote to something that we are not. She

is belittling us" .

Serafín:

"I felt it as that greatest person who

wants to fit in with young people

, using our words, in a conversation out of context and out of place ... and one says: 'Stay away'".

And what do you think about Vidal's phrase and the differences between smoking in Palermo or in a villa?

Delfina:

"Another

slap from a drowned man

, to attract young people and, coincidentally, he achieved the opposite."

Evelin:

"He showed all his classism. He talks about drug traffickers, but he opposes legalizing marijuana, which is the only way to fight that business. If the poorest kids have problems, it is because they

are the ones who suffer police persecution

."

Germán: "It's a stupid thing, especially if we understand that they have ruled the city for 14 years. Besides, the kids from Palermo go to buy joint from the villas or south of the city, they can't find it on the floor."

Micaela (PRO): "That phrase was taken out of context. María Eugenia is a person who throughout her government walked all neighborhoods and knows the reality that exists there. I do believe that vulnerable neighborhoods are more exposed to violence. drugs than in other places, but that does not mean that marijuana has to be legal in one place and not in another. "

Serafín: "I listened to her and I asked myself: 'What did you just say?'

Ignorance, man. That is why legalization is also necessary. "

Inclusive language

Delfina:

"Personally

against

, but everyone is free to speak as they want."

Evelin:

"In favor, it is also a

conquest

of our struggle."

Germán:

"It still doesn't come out completely for me, but yes, in favor. My younger colleagues talk all day with the 'e' and it sticks to me. Each one has to speak and refer to himself as he wants."

Micaela Beller is a PRO member and part of Juntos in these elections.

Micaela:

"In favor. But we have to demand that all the leaders who use it forcibly to really make public policies that promote inclusion,

not to remain demagogic

, to

pretend

that they are inclusive, when they are not. But it is a worthy fight, a transformation that is taking place and I support it. "

Serafín:

"I am in favor, but I think they are using it quite badly. It would be necessary to see how each person feels identified. And in addition to the 'e',

sign language

should also be included

in schools, which is not optional That would be true inclusion. "

Use of tasers?

Delfina:

"In

favor

".

Evelin:

"I am completely against any type of repression of youth.

They cannot make us choose between a bullet and electrocute us

, especially in the context of a social crisis, when we have to go out and fight for our future."

German (FDT):

"Totally, as Leandro (Santoro) said, recently a policeman was killed while trying

restrain a man with a knife might not have happened if he had a taser Besides no precise instructions...

Favor , as long as they cannot be used as an element of torture

. "

Micaela (PRO):

"In

favor

".

Serafín Alberío was a member of the PRO, but now he considers himself "nonpartisan."

Serafín:

"Its use seems to me

very necessary

, to avoid terrible cases like Chano's. Everyone, including politicians, talked about it. The Buenos Aires Security Minister (Sergio Berni) demanded its use. He is the minister, he has to know why they took them out. "

Lower the age of accountability?

Delfina:

"Yes, within the framework of a

comprehensive

security

policy

."

Evelin:

"I am totally against. All the punitive laws, more heavy-handed, have

already proven their failure

. Young people need a budget to study and work, no more persecution and jails."

Germán:

"This is something that is discussed a lot. A minor under 16 can be trapped for years in the judicial system because there is nothing to protect him. So yes, with a

regulatory framework

."

Micaela:

"

The problem is complex.

Obviously it is not the same to do things right or wrong, but young people and politicians have to make an effort so that everyone has more job and education opportunities. I think that's where you have to give the discussion ".

Serafín:

"It is correct. If you decided to go out to steal, either at 16 or 14, you have

enough conscience

to know what is right and what is wrong. The problem is also that jail does not reform them: they leave worse than how they got in because they steal again or even on a psychological level ".

Legalization of marijuana

Delfina:

"Yes, but I think that right now

the politicians are using it

as a choking slap."

Evelin:

"Yes, its illegality only favors drug trafficking businesses and is supported by the Police and a state network. We are on the streets for legalization and

enough prisoners to cultivate

."

Germán:

"In favor. Because it is something that happens, like the voluntary interruption of pregnancy was something that happened. If we want to

combat drug trafficking

, the best we can do is legalize it, understanding that there is a sector of society that already uses it" .

Micaela:

"In favor.

It is not a solution that is illegal

."

Serafín:

"Totally, that's it ... recreational use should be legal because

we are at that moment in the world.

There are scientific studies that support its responsible use. I'm talking about marijuana, because I don't support synthetic drugs."

Wetlands law

Delfina:

"The current project does not contemplate privatization; or, at least, its use in a mixed way (50% private capital and 50% private capital). That is why

I am against this particular project

, but

I am against

doing it otherwise".

Evelin:

"In favor. The big bosses' parties are drafting the project. We presented our own together with environmental organizations.

Last year there were more than 300 thousand hectares burned in the Delta

, due to the business and real estate business."

Germán:

"In favor".

Micaela:

 "In favor."

Serafín:

"It seems too necessary to me:

Pachamama is losing a

very important

fight

; and, if she loses, we will go with her. It seems like a joke, but it isn't."
