(ANSA) - ROME, 08 SEPT - Little but good, at times excellent, in a market context in strong recovery. The national production of wine in 2021 drops to 44.5 million hectoliters, a figure in heat of 9% compared to the 49 million hectoliters of 2020 which, despite the contraction caused by the anomalies of an increasingly protagonist weather, does not affect the primacy of color production. This in a year that sees Spain stopped at around 40 million hectoliters and France which, due to the weather, is forecasting a production drop of 29%. Italy resists, deliver them encouraging for the restart on a double front, the foreign one with an increase in demand of 11% in the first 5 months of the year equal to 2,7 billion euros and on the domestic one, driven by the reopening of the Horeca and the resumption of tourism. After the past campaign marked by a 3% decline in prices, the prospect of lower production due to the current harvest and the renewed dynamism of demand, also generates optimism on the future trend of the price lists.
