(ANSA) - ROME, SEPTEMBER 09 - New incident in the Suez Canal where a ship flying the Panamanian flag blocked the passage for a few hours. This was announced by Al Arabiya, citing local sources according to which traffic was then resumed. The CoralCrystal ship on its way to Sudan, 225 meters long and 32 meters wide, went up in the sand causing the delay of the transit of at least four other boats.
This is a new significant episode in the Suez Canal, which connects the Red Sea with the Mediterranean, after the case of the Ever Given container port which last March was blocked for days causing congestion of 422 ships. (HANDLE).
