In order not to have to deal with exhausting customer inquiries, a Swedish tax officer picked up the phone himself.

Now he is threatened with dismissal.

A 28-year-old Swede wanted to avoid work and used a supposed trick. As

Spiegel Online

reports, citing the AFP news agency, the 28-year-old called himself instead of taking calls from customers. That emerges from a disciplinary report from the Swedish tax authorities. In total, the man is said to have called himself 55 hours from his own mobile phone at work.

Between March 10th and May 5th.

In 2021, the line of the Swedish tax officer was permanently occupied - and that was apparently no coincidence.

"Some of these calls lasted for several hours," said

Spiegel Online

in the report.

In total, the man called

his own connection 32 times

, which made him appear

"busy"

in

his manager's system

and was able to successfully "block" all customer calls and generously leave them to his employees.

Trick to avoid work can mean dismissal

At first, the boorish nature of the tax officer was apparently not noticed, as the man had been working in the home office since the beginning of the year. But in April one of his superiors finally discovered that the 28-year-old had

significantly longer phone calls

compared to his colleagues *

. Up to this point in time, the

Swede's

other working hours

had already been

seven full working days.

The man finally admitted that he hadn't worked during that time.

Despite the unveiling of his work avoiding it-actuated after admission

again

four calls to the own mobile number - which resulted in

Spiegel Online

, according to an

internal investigation

.

The officer

justified

this

repeated misconduct

at a further summons in May by stating that his

work motivation was "extremely low"

Such tricks for avoiding work at your own workplace should be avoided as much as possible - the man is now threatened with them

Dismissal.
