This morning, the accredited registration centers in government universities and their branches have started accepting applications for university differentiation for the 2021-2022 academic year, to continue until Thursday 30-9-2021.
The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has allocated more than 70 accredited centers in universities to create an integrated structure that serves, guides, directs and registers the student within the differentiation centers to accept applications for general differentiation for the scientific branch and the preparatory year for medical colleges (general and parallel) and preferences for granting private universities, students of eastern provinces and the families of the martyrs and wounded The missing, children of faculty members, the physically disabled, Arab and foreign students, non-resident Syrians, expatriates, and vocational high schools, in addition to accepting applications for direct registration of high school students from the literary branch (general and parallel).
According to the instructions of the Ministry, the student applies to the comparison in person or through his legal representative (under a public or private agency), and in the absence of the student, (father, mother, brother, sister, grandfather or grandmother) may apply on behalf of the student or The commissioner for non-Syrian secondary certificates, and the registration officer enters electronically the student’s data, then prints the differentiation card in two original copies. One of them is handed over to the student to show it when necessary, while the second copy of the general differentiation card is kept at the university, attached to a copy of the student’s ID card or the registration release.
The Ministry called on students to read the differentiation announcement well before applying to it in order to know the requirements and conditions for admission, indicating that the differentiation card for the scientific branch includes all types of acceptance of trade-offs. Private universities and the student in each type of them can write down one or more desires, or not write down any desire, such as choosing only general admission, or choosing only to grant private universities, or both admissions.
According to the Ministry’s instructions, the student who has entered 35 desires for general differentiation (except for the granting of private universities) in the scientific branch is entitled to submit an application for regularization of his status and acceptance in the college and institute he desires if he achieves the declared minimum limits for general acceptance and the required conditions, and no settlement is made. His status if the number of desires recorded is less than 35 desires and the situation cannot be settled on the desire of the preparatory year or one of the scholarships of private universities or special preferences.
The ministry indicated that the student can amend his wishes more than once during the period of applying for differentiation, in the special center for modifying desires at the university in which he previously applied, after submitting the amendment request by the concerned person or his representative to the university president and after obtaining approval, the review is done. The amendment center is attached to the previous differentiation card stamped from the registration center. The competent center electronically amends the wishes and delivers the amended copy to the student according to the mechanism approved above, and keeps the other copy attached to the application and the previous differentiation card at the center.
According to the instructions, the student who obtained the Syrian high school certificate for this year applies for preference in one foreign language (English, French or Russian), which he chooses and registers in the differentiation card. Accordingly, the total is calculated from 2400 for the scientific branch after folding the mark of religious education, and the student is given preference based on this total for all desires and for the similar section for the language he chose.
As for the literary branch, students who have met the admission requirements (general and parallel) apply to the announcement of direct registration for the literary branch, according to the announced minimum limits for registration, including the people of the eastern governorates. By registering in it, this advance is calculated from the value of university services fees after his acceptance and completion of his registration procedures. This advance is not returned when he refuses to register. A student can also amend the specialization he has registered for more than once during the period specified for direct registration, and no amendment may be made after that.
