In the middle of a day marked by the carrying out of the PASO throughout the country, the Government this afternoon updated the figures of the pandemic.
In the last 24 hours,
930 new cases
and another
46 deaths
from coronavirus
were confirmed
in Argentina.
In this way, the country exceeds 5.2 million infections and 113 thousand deaths since the beginning of the health crisis.
The data comes from the health part published by the Ministry of Health this Sunday, based on data provided by the provinces.
More than 60% of the population received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine.

The country has been going through the lowest point of the contagion curve since the first wave.
According to data from the 7 days prior to today's part -from September 5 until yesterday-, the average fell to
2,984 infected per day
.
This represents
a monthly drop of almost 73%

and
91%
compared to the peak in May, when it reached 33,171.
This week, Argentina
fell from 8th to 9th
place among the countries with the highest number of positive cases detected since the beginning of the health crisis.
It was surpassed by Iran, which reported more than 26,000 new infections in the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, it also
went from 12th to 13th
place among those with the most fatalities, according to the Worldomoters site (again, it was surpassed by Iran).

It remains well below the record of 603 recorded on June 11.
Vaccines
After more than 500,000 AstraZeneca vaccines arrived on Saturday, the country
exceeded 59 million doses
received since December 29, 2020, when the mass inoculation campaign began.
The
62.68%
of the population has the least vaccine covid-19 (28,715,176 are dose).
According to official sources, this represents more than 85% of those over 18 years of age.
This week the first 100,000 Pfizer vaccines arrived.

So far, 18,238,143 people have completed the scheme (
39.81%
of the total and more than 50% of those over 18).
