Covid-19 in France: 29 new deaths and still just over 10,000 hospitalized patients

It's getting better and it keeps getting better.

As vaccination progresses and almost 70% of the French population has a complete vaccination schedule, the numbers for the epidemic continue to drop.

Those published this Sunday by Public Health France report a drop in the total number of hospitalizations and patients in critical care services.

This Sunday, there are 10,012 people in French hospitals due to a Covid-19 infection.

There were 10,018 the day before and 10,644 last Sunday.

187 admissions have been recorded in the past 24 hours, against 367 on Saturday and 177 last Sunday.

Among the hospitalized patients, 2,129 are in critical care departments (continuous monitoring, resuscitation and intensive care) after infection with Covid-19.

This is 2 less than Saturday (2,131) and 88 less than seven days ago (2,217).

A month ago, there were 1,807 of them. 34 new people have been admitted in the last 24 hours, reports Public Health France, against 367 on Saturday and 177 last Sunday.

29 people have died in French hospitals in the past 24 hours. Over the same period, we had deplored 47 on Saturday and 49 last Sunday. 88,775 deaths have been recorded in hospitals since the start of the pandemic in France.
