L'Événement
, another painful pregnancy story, this one of raw realism. The film is an adaptation of Annie Ernaux's autobiographical tale, in which the writer recounts her clandestine abortion in the 1960s. She is played on screen by the Franco-Romanian actress Anamaria Vartolomei, impressive in the role of the young student left to herself.
