Acrobatics and flashes, Moebius opens the RomaEuropa Festival

(ANSA) - ROME, SEPTEMBER 13 - A "collective intelligence" of acrobatic artists to imitate the poetic flight of flocks of birds, on a stage that aspires to become heaven. And then sudden flashes, aerial trajectories and visionary images inside dances that celebrate and give new meaning to the meeting of bodies so long denied. The XXXVI edition of the RomeEuropa Festival opens on 14 September with the marvels of "Moebius", the show signed by the choreographer Rachid Ouramdane and the Compagnie XY staged in the Caveadell'Auditorium Parco della Musica. . Respecting the international vocation and experimentation between languages, the RomaEuropa Festival returns to propose a rich schedule, which ranges from theater to music,from the new circus to digital crafts, from dance to children's creations.

    In the more than 80 appointments of this edition there is also part, about 20 shows, of the 2020 program that it was not possible to stage, in a sort of "continuity with these two difficult years of our life", says the director Fabrizio Grifasi, "because we are here to reaffirm the meaning of a cultural project that is built with artists ". About 40 thousand tickets, 800 artists involved and many locations in a billboard with important names, such as GusVan Sant, Max Richter, Israel Galvan, Alva Noto, Olivier Dubois.

   A festival of the arts, whose opening with "Moebius", on stage for three evenings (until 16/9), will be characterized by showmanship and poetry: on the stage, acrobatic evolutions and "towers" of bodies will try to reproduce for the public ilmistero della Natura, recalling the movements of the flocks and banks of fish, thanks to the gaze of the choreographer Ouramdane, now at the helm of the Théâtre National de Chaillot, and to the surprising art of the 19 performers of the XY Company.
