More »privacy and transparency«: Lana del Rey has deactivated her profiles in the social networks

US singer Lana del Rey ("Video Games") deactivated her social media channels over the weekend. "And I just do that because I have so many other interests and other jobs that require privacy and transparency," the 36-year-old said in a last video on Saturday, according to People magazine. The next day, she switched off her profiles on Instagram and Twitter. Her Facebook page is also no longer accessible. In the clip, the musician thanked her fans for their support so far and was happy that »you will continue to see me through my music«.
Lana Del Rey, whose real name is Elizabeth Woolridge Grant, had repeatedly caused a stir on social networks.
In an Instagram post, she complained that she was not allowed to sing about her submissive role in relationships - while musicians like Beyoncé, Cardi B, Nicki Minaj and others were celebrated for songs about "being sexy".

There was also criticism for a glittering, wide-meshed net mask that she wore in the corona pandemic during an autograph session.
