A civil security helicopter with five people on board crashed shortly before 4:30 p.m., this Sunday, September 12, upstream from Villard-de-Lans (Isère).
The aircraft mechanic died.
The other members of the crew - the pilot, a doctor from Samu and two gendarmes from the PGHM (High Mountain Gendarmerie Platoon) - were taken care of by the medical teams and evacuated to the Grenoble University Hospital.

One of them had serious injuries, the others were more slightly injured.
They came to rescue a mountain biker stuck on a track.
Rescue operations ended shortly before 7.25 p.m.
The causes of the accident are still unknown.
The investigation is ongoing.
The Minister of Health Olivier Véran and the Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin went to the site on Monday, September 13.
The latter announced that the mechanic will be decorated with the Legion of Honor "to salute him".
