Munich - Sustainable travel doesn't have to be expensive.

Aldi and Deutsche Bahn are now opening up this option through a ticket cooperation.

"By working with Deutsche Bahn, we encourage our customers to travel in an environmentally conscious way and get them on the rails at the usual low Aldi price," says Peter Grebarsche, Director Customer Interaction at Aldi Süd.

The tickets can be used flexibly from autumn to early winter and would be ideal as a gift.

DB Fernverkehr AG is also in good spirits.

"We are also pleased about the cooperation with ALDI," emphasizes Stefanie Berk, Marketing Director at DB Fernverkehr AG.

Together you would offer customers an inexpensive way to visit friends and family.

Or to take a spontaneous, comfortable and environmentally friendly short vacation.

Inexpensive ticket, always valid.

Unless it's Friday

Those interested can buy the tickets from September 20 to 25, 2021.

For the price of 49.90 euros for two single journeys within Germany in 2nd class on long-distance trains operated by Deutsche Bahn.

There is a maximum of ten tickets per person.

In addition to the receipt, customers receive an activation receipt in the form of a second receipt with the relevant booking codes.

The tickets can be used from September 27th to December 11th, 2021 - except on Fridays.

A big caveat for weekend travel lovers.

In addition, the tickets cannot be combined with a discount on the Bahn-Card or other reductions.

Exchanges and refunds are excluded.

Aldi-DB tickets: seat reservations are subject to a charge

If you want, you can also book local trains in the pre- and / or post-carriage (6.90 euros per journey) or reserve a seat for a fee. Individual trains that do not have a sufficient number of seats may not be able to be booked. For more information, please contact the hotline 030 - 5860 20 912 or inquire online at bahn.de/aldi.
