A priest, Don Francesco Spagnesi, was arrested for drug dealing in Prato, involved in a police investigation into cocaine and GBL parties, the so-called 'rape drug'.
The parish priest, 40, was placed under house arrest by the investigating judge Francesca Scarlatti who accepted the request for a precautionary measure presented by the prosecutor.
The accusations are of the sale and import of drugs.
A few days ago the priest left his posts in the Parish of the Annunciation in the Prato district of Castellina.
