A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket will take off from Florida this Wednesday, September 15, at 2 a.m.

On board: four American civilians.

A first for Elon Musk's company.

Jared Isaacman will be captain on board.

And for good reason, it is he who finances this mission.

This 38-year-old billionaire made his fortune thanks to his company Shift4 Payments, which offers stores and restaurants a service for processing bank card transactions.

At her side, Hayley Arceneaux, 29, will become the youngest American to be sent into orbit around the Earth.

But also the first person with a prosthesis to go to space.

Diagnosed with bone cancer at age ten, she was treated at St Jude's Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, for which Jared Isaacman organized a fundraiser.

She works there today as a medical assistant.

Sian Proctor will be the mission pilot and assist the commander.

The 51-year-old geology and planetology professor almost embraced a career as an astronaut.

She participated in an experiment in Hawaii simulating life on Mars and twice ran for NASA, without success.

Chris Sembroski, former US Air Force will keep them company.

The 40-year-old now works in the aviation industry, for Lockheed Martin, a defense and security company.

Its role will be to help in the management of the cargo on board and communications with the Earth.

The four passengers will spend three days in orbit before landing in the Atlantic Ocean off Florida.
