In the last 24 hours,
2,510 new cases
and another
153 deaths
from coronavirus
were confirmed
in Argentina, according to the Government reported this Wednesday.
In this way, the country reached
5,232,358 infections
and
113,969 deaths
since the start of the pandemic.
These figures come from the health report published this afternoon by the Ministry of Health, based on information provided by the provinces.
There are currently
35,329 patients suffering
from covid-19, of which
1,785 are admitted to intensive care
.
The occupation of critical beds -for all pathologies- is
41.1%
at the national level and slightly higher in the AMBA (
43.4%
).
The country has been going through the lowest point of the contagion curve since the first wave, registered in the middle of last year.
According to data from the 7 days prior to today's part - from September 8 to 14 -, the average fell to
2,534 infected per day
.
In recent weeks, positive cases of coronavirus have fallen in Argentina.

This represents an abrupt monthly drop of

Despite this slowdown, Argentina ranks
9th
among the countries with the highest number of positive cases detected throughout the pandemic.

among those with the most fatalities registered, according to the Worldometers site.

The cases of the day
For the seventh consecutive day, the Ministry of Health
did not report how many tests were carried out on the day
.

This Wednesday the
second shipment
of vaccines from the Pfizer laboratory
arrived in the country
.
American Airlines flight AA991 brought a total of 160,290 doses.
This batch is added to the 100,620 injections received at the beginning of the month and which have already been distributed to the provinces.
"Meanwhile, the flights that transport these sera, coming from the United States, will continue to arrive until reaching the 580,000 expected for this month.
