Words that Playstation 5 fans don't necessarily want to hear.
Saturn and Media Markt want to remedy the situation and are launching a pre-order campaign.
For a long time, gamers of all ages have been trying to get the coveted Playstation 5. Many, unfortunately, in vain. Because the demand for the console is a lot higher than the supply. The reason for the delayed deliveries is production problems. "Sony expects that the slow production of PS5 will continue for a long time because of the global chip shortage," writes the consumer magazine
Chip.de
. "Toshiba is one of the manufacturers of components for the Playstation 5. There it is assumed that the situation will not relax until autumn 2022 at the earliest."
Bad prospects for fans of the Sony console.
Another problem is that so-called scalpers or resellers try to secure the few available consoles with bots.
And then sell them on at outrageously high prices.
In order to give their customers a chance to purchase the coveted console, Media Markt and Saturn have started a pre-order campaign.
Playstation 5: To the console with waiting list and deposit
This campaign is intended to give consumers the opportunity to get to a Playstaion 5 in a reasonably stress-free manner. In many branches, you can be put on a waiting list and pick up the console in the store as soon as it is delivered, writes the computer magazine. But there is still a small catch: To get on the list, a deposit of 100 euros has to be made. The devices should be ready for collection from September 24th at the earliest.
"We can confirm that our stores have received a limited contingent of PS5 consoles for pre-sale in the past few weeks," says a spokeswoman for Media Markt and Saturn. "The offer was very well received by our customers." How many consoles have been delivered and sold to the end user, one does not want to say.
