Pelé has left the intensive care unit of the São Paulo hospital, where he is recovering from the removal of a "suspect" colon cancer.

"Patient Edson Arantes do Nascimento is in good clinical condition and has left the intensive care unit. He will remain convalescing in a room in the ward, says the bulletin.
