The docufilm on Michael Schumacher, authorized and wanted by the family of the seven-time Formula 1 world champion, is released today on Netflix
.
The making of the film was possible thanks to the availability of the Schumacher family led by his wife Corinna, who this time decided to tell about her husband, as explained by Vanessa Nocker, director of the documentary together with Hanns-Bruno Kammertöns and Michael Wech: " Corinna was our biggest support, she was the first to want an authentic film, which showed Michael how he is made, with his ups and downs, without sweetening anything. She was extraordinary, she is a woman who represents a model. He impressed us very much ".
The film resumes scenes of Schumacher busy on the track and stories released by people who have shared many moments with him, starting with the most intimate ones. In fact, his wife Corinna, his children Gina Maria and Mick, his father Rolf and his brother Ralf appear, as well as colleagues such as Sebastian Vettel, who has always had his idol in Michael.
"Since that incident, those moments in the family that so many people spend with their father have no longer been for me or at least there have been to a lesser extent, and in my view this is quite unfair".
Mick Schumacher, Michael's son and Haas F1 driver, also speaks in the Netflix documentary 'Schumacher'
. "I think now we would understand each other in a different way - Mick's words - simply because we would speak a similar language, that of motoring and we would have so many things to talk about. And it is precisely this thought that stays in my head most of the time, because if it were possible it would be wonderful. I would give up everything to be able to do it ".
