The futurist fashion of the Laura Biagiotti maison has paraded in the Maxxi museum in Rome. "I imagined a trilogy - explains Lavinia Biagiotti Cigna, at the helm of the company since the death of her mother Laura -: the Piazza del Campidoglio with its Renaissance spirit (where it paraded in September 2020 ed), the Ara Pacis (where the fashion show took place in February ed) which evokes Augustan Rome suggesting a new golden age, and now the Maxxi Museum, which welcomes the arts of the 21st century, taking a census of the future. With the Maxxi Museum the Biagiotti Group shares values and visions for the conservation and enhancement of cultural heritage and a fruitful collaboration born on the occasion of the exhibition 'Casa Balla. From home to the universe and back' ".

"In this third appointment in Rome - continues the designer - we investigate the connection between women and the new time, between fashion and art, clothing and space. In an architectural project that is unique in the world created by Zaha Hadid va on stage the act of dressing as an expressive and creative gesture, in progress, in movement, on a fast path towards an ever more personal beauty ".

"The central theme of my new collection that I have titled ReinventingtheUniverse - says Lavinia - is Futurism and the future, which for me is an opportunity that each of us draws for himself, a garden to cultivate. Fashion is here and at the same time it is already in the future. It anticipates changes, moods, innovations. It is the manifestation of human behavior that evolves in the rhythms of contemporaneity, communicating an attitude or a message, generating beauty and creativity.

The dress dresses the movement of life. I wanted to renew the formal dress with color. I borrowed from my mother Laura the passion for futurism, for Giacomo Balla, for energizing colors and shapes. The futurist solicitations suggest turning our gaze forward, an attitude more necessary than ever in a scenario of global pandemic such as the one that has indelibly marked humanity ".

The Biagiotti S / S 2022 collection has as testimonial the etoile Eleonora Abbagnato who, in addition to lending herself as a model wearing a full skirt with a printed maxi flower, performs a dance. The daughter of the etoile Julia Balzaretti also parades, making her debut on the catwalk with very young fans of the brand, including Vittoria Rosolino, daughter of the champion Massimiliano and Natalia Titova. In the parterre, in addition to the president of the Italian Chamber of Fashion Carlo Capasa, since we are talking about Futurism, the movement that started from the theme of speed, the face of Marcell Jacobs stands out, the Olympic champion of the hundred meters and the relay, "the man fastest in the world ".

In the collection, prints and colors play the lion's share. Prints are an explosion of energy. The futurist ones reproduce the 1930 "Sketch for a scarf with behavioral lines" by Giacomo Balla (Turin 1871 - Rome 1958), one of the works of the Maestro belonging to the Biagiotti-Cigna Foundation. There is also the 'Bianco Biagiotti', a real comfort zone to fill the challenges of everyday life with light, divides the scene with futuristic and bright colors: fuchsia and purple, vibrant yellows, orange and green that fade into blue. The flower compositions reproduce precious designs from the Biagiotti archives and tell the pleasure of dressing with colored petals even in formal contexts, blazers, dusters and tailored trousers. Biagiotti knitwear combines art and craftsmanship, innovative stitches and skilful hand-made workmanship. The white cashmere and silk blazer is the unmissable garment of the season, it dresses the new times of women by wrapping her like a hug. The maxi pull reproduces a composition of braids. Asymmetrical cuts like flashes of speed combine knit and fabric in hyper-feminine dresses: they frame the silhouette. Knots and weaves define the new neckline of shoulders and back in cashmere dresses in bright tones.Knots and weaves define the new neckline of shoulders and back in cashmere dresses in bright tones.Knots and weaves define the new neckline of shoulders and back in cashmere dresses in bright tones.
