"When you arrived, we told you that you needed a health pass or a negative test", explains Marie-Claire, at the reception of the EHPAD Korian Les Amandiers, to a young trainee nursing assistant . Having had the coronavirus less than 6 months ago, this young employee has not yet entered the “compulsory vaccination” box. To enter the health establishment, she must still present the result of an antigen test, carried out a few minutes earlier in a pharmacy in the 20th arrondissement of Paris. But in the meantime, impossible for her to join her service: she has to wait in the hall.

Today, more than ever, it is necessary to show white paw in this medicalized retirement home, whereas the vaccination obligation for the personnel of the health establishments has just entered into force in the country.

"90% of employees have a complete vaccination schedule, the others have already received their first dose," says David Vallayer, director of the establishment.

"We had no blockage vis-à-vis our employees who understood that it was both for their well-being and that of our residents," he adds.

While all staff have complied with the new measure, some dispute its mandatory nature. “I was planning on doing it anyway, but I don't really agree with it being mandatory. We are still in a country of freedom ”, indignant an employee. A refractory employee who is not fully vaccinated by October 15 risks a suspension of his employment contract.
