Nine people have died in the south of France from heavy rains in the last few hours, while half of the country is threatened by bad weather.
In the Bouches-du-Rhône, the Marseille region, a 58-year-old man died in Cassis and another 71 in La Ciotat.
According to the broadcaster Bfm-tv, another 5 victims were recorded in Herault.
These are 5 people between the ages of 64 and 73 who went swimming on the beaches of Grande-Motte, Agde, Marseillan, Serigina and Vias.
Seven people were saved at the last minute by rescuers.
Two other victims are reported in the municipality of Leucate, in the Aude department, an eighty year old and a sixty year old.
