It had been the scene of one of the many escapes of which "El Chapo" had the secret.
The house that served as a hiding place for the famous Mexican drug lord was put into play Wednesday, September 15 by the government.
It was won by a mysterious winner, who remained anonymous.
Estimated at around 150,000 euros, the house located in Culiacán, the capital of the state of Sinaloa, had allowed “El Chapo” to narrowly escape arrest in 2014, thanks to an underground corridor.
Arrested six days later and placed in a high security prison, he escaped again in a spectacular operation.
The elusive cartel leader was finally arrested in 2016 and then extradited to the United States.
The house is part of a set of 20 other properties of ex-drug traffickers, also at stake for this national lottery.
The mansion of Amado Carrillo, the former head of the Juarez cartel, worth around 2.5 million euros, was among the prizes to be won.
